assalamoaliekum
this is my very own research and wat i think about niqab.ppl plz dont get offended but i gave totally authentic proofs from authentic ahadeeth.inshallah May Allah guide us 2 the write path!
Hijab(niqab) ia a blessing on Muslim women and It ia a protection revealed fromAllah. We all Respect it and should feel comfortable in Allah's protection. My Aunt gave me a very obvious example. If a man who is going to marry asks the girls parents to show thier daughter. If they show her whole boday(including face)covered will the man be satisfied. certainly not.If they show her face and the whole body covered he will certainly satisfied."say to the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their modesty" surah An-Nur,verse 31.Niqab comes in guarding modesty as the opposite sex wont be able to see the woman covered and wont be attracted toward her.Women are like aranges. If covered then ok and if uncovered then rotten.Narrated Aisha(radi Allah ho Anhoma):"May Allah bestow His mercy on the early emigrant women. When Allah revealed"And to draw thier viels all over joyobihinna(i.e their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)-they tore their Murut(a wollen dress ,or waist_binding cloth or an apron, etc) and covered their heads and faces with those tore Murut(Sahih Al Bukhari,Vol 6, Hadith no 282)"O Prophet(s.a.w)!Tell your wives and your daughters and the women to the believers to draw their cloaks(viels_ all aover their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known(as free respectable women)so as not to be annoyed. And Allah is Ever Forging and Most Merciful."Surah Al Ahzab.verse 59In the above hadith the word joyobihinna is Arabic word which means (above whole boby)I concluded that this above starts from head and ens with feet.(including face)joyobihinna,Hinna means above them. This is why I wear nikab but I will be delighted to read an argument from people who dont think niqab is compulsry.

v good post. We can only live and learn from one another.
You are doing 2 very important things that all muslims should do -firstly u are making the effort 2 research and educate yourself on matters, and secondly u r sharing the info with ur brothers and sister.
good on u!!
salamzzzzzzzz
thanx a lot i will modify this post!
assalamu'alaikum,
hi muslimah! so you're the person chet likes. :D about the niqab, i guess i only wear the headscarf. & i don't know for sure, but we can't cover our face during hajj, right?
i guess i do prefer to see someone's face, to identify her. but i must love & treat any person, niqab or no, just the same. so i guess it's up to the women.
God Knows Best. :)
salamzzzzzzz
wat i write is about islam and this is wat chet Likes.he likes the religion islam!!
okzz a very goo point sister that u think face should be uncover for identity. here is a hadeeth of Sahih Bukhari I found:
4: Volume: 1, Book Number: 4, Hadith Number: 148Narrated 'Aisha:
The wives of the Prophet used to go to Al-Manasi, a vast open place (near Baqia at Medina) to answer the call of nature at night. 'Umar used to say to the Prophet "Let your wives be veiled," but Allah's Apostle did not do so. One night Sauda bint Zam'a the wife of the Prophet went out at 'Isha' time and she was a tall lady. 'Umar addressed her and said, "I have recognized you, O Sauda." He said so, as he desired eagerly that the verses of Al-Hijab (the observing of veils by the Muslim women) may be revealed. So Allah revealed the verses of "Al-Hijab" (A complete body cover excluding the eyes)
Umar(may Allah be pleased with him) said
"I have recognized you, O Sauda." so it means that Muslims women should not be recognized and their identity should be private.yes in Islam picture is allowed for Passport and important matters cause there we need identity but where it is un neccesary like markets or anywhere then wats the use.
yes its a contraversial issue but sister before writing everything in the post i wrote thats this is my own research but with the reference of hadeeth and Quraan besides we should understand the real meaning of veil y do we have to take it?just to protect ourselves!
